As all the schemes framed by the State are for the benefit of the citizens, all have the right to get benefit from it. But generally these schemes are not reaching at proper place due to mismanagement of administration & unhealthy mindset/practice of concerned officials. Some where citizens waiting for a long period to get chance……but till how long?

Please find a casestudy where a farmer is waiting for electric connection to his Lift Irrigation Point since last 14 years………

Jameswar Bhatta, a farmer of village Kushinga of Gop Block of Puri Dist has applied for electricity connection to his Lift Irrigation Point in 1994 and it was permitted by the Sub-Divisional Officer, (Electrical)  Nimapara vide letter No. 468/dt. 16.02.1994. As per direction of the concerned officer the applicant Mr. Bhatta deposited  of Rs. 1308/- (One thousand three hundred eight) on the same date vide Receipt No. 932101of Book No. 12161. But surprisingly the Dept. has not connected electricity to the said Lift Irrigation Point till yet.

Mr. Bhatta visited several time to the office of the SDO, Electrical, Nimapara but all in vein. Now he is 70 years old but he is trying for justice from the Government. After attending an awareness programme on Right to Information he got an idea to know the reality behind the non-responsibility of the Electrical Official. He has applied for information u/s 6(1) of  RTI Act-2005 from Dept of Energy, Orissa regarding the reason of this long delay .

Even after 14 years he is hopeful for justice.
