National Integration Camps for Youth
To develop the sense of National Integration among youth has become the most important need of the country, as the youth have been misled by sectarian forces, fundamentalists & they have been misguided to involve in antisocial, anti-national activists and angering the unity & integrity of country. So many Youth camps have organized by YOUNG INDIA in national integration weeks. The rural youth were invited to participate in this camps & the respond is highly encouraging. Some eminent speakers were also invited to highlight the role for youth for nation building &national integration. Functionaries of Young India has also attended other so many programs organized by different organizations to encourage & help them. Last year Young India has organized three camps during National integration week & other times.
YOUTH
FOR SOCIAL CHANGE (An Empowerment Process)
Human Resources Development means to identify the potential, empower people & stimulate Knowledge, Attitude & Practices of self & society. To initiate action, motivation plays an important role. Process of motivation has many dynamics but the training/orientation has its own strength, which contributes to larger extent for motivation & action in an empowerment process.
Basing on last experience Young India has organized youth sensitization training programmes entitled " Youth for Social Change" to update the knowledge & skill among rural youth leaders/Youth club functionaries / Ex-N.S.S/N.C.C/ volunteers.
Besides this, the Resources Team members have been providing support service to other NGOs & GOVT. institutions. The team members are organizing Youth club developmental programs (YCDP) of Neheru Yuba Kendra, Youth leadership training programs of State Youth Welfare Board-Orissa, Volunteers orientation programs of different NSS units of different colleges since 1995. The team members have been participating as Resource Person in trainings of different Local, National & International Agencies.
The participation of these trained Youth in community development & human resource mobilization has brought a change among other youth mass & helped them in transforming the society. Self-reliance has also developed among them by reducing dependency.Entrepreneurship for Youth & Women
Youth force in
developing economy is found to be passive & inactive. Reasons of which is
manifold. Technical training proved to be an agent of economic development and
entrepreneurship, which is the need of the hour. Last year 32 youth members
(M/F) has taken vocational training on mushroom cultivation, Tailoring,
Appliqué Work & have started their own units
To create confidence among women to mobilize the resource for families & social purpose Young India has under taken various workshop & training programme for generating income. To make the rural families self- sufficient & over come proverty 72 self help groups have been formed in different villages by Young India. Some women have developed their independent entrepreneur of these groups. The resource team members of Young India are also providing support service to other organization for development of thrift credit system in rural area.
