NAMASKAR

NAMASKAR CAMPAIGN is related to promotion of local self governance, has been initiated in Gop & Kakatpur Block in Puri District of Orissa in  active participation of 39 NGO/CBOs of this locality. The present focus of this campaign  is activation of RTI Act in the PRI. In this campaign Vigilant cadre groups have been formed in each Gram Panchayats. Young India initiated capacity building programs on RTI in different batches along with State level Youth Assembly in each year. The focal group & Vigilant cadres are now active in the base Blocks. The impact of NASKAR CAMPAIGN resulted in putting more than thousand RTI applications at different offices. Besides RTI, NAMASKAR campaign is augmented to Pre-Election Voter Awareness for which a number of awareness progs have been organized i.e. Voter meetings, Voting Mock drill, Publication of awareness based reading materials, Open Stages (KHOLA MANCHA)etc. The partner organizations have planned to continue this campaign aims to establish good governance in these area.
